I was very happy to learn that GpsTracker was one of the top 9 downloaded projects on Sourceforge and was nominated for Project of the Month.
If you have checked out the project and like it, would you please log into Sourceforge and vote for GpsTracker:

Thank you very much!

Can you give me a call. We are looking for a GPS tracking system to use in disasters, wildland fires and other public safety related activites.
This project started after the Arizona wildfire hotshot team was killed.
We have developed a system that provides images and IR camera info to the Incident command post.
It is important that we find a GPS system that can show real time updates of the location of emergency services units and other related personnel and vehicles during situations like this.
This will integrate into the FirstNET system being developed by US govt for first responder support.
As we are all firefighters we dont have a lot of money but could scrap up some if needed to support your project.
However as this total project moves forward a whole host of apps and windows/mac applications could be sold for this application and project. We are all skilled in the business and can provide valuable input into how you and others can help us “Save Lives”
We dont need another situation where FF and emergency responders die just because of situational awareness is not available.
Please give me a ring when possible to discuss. Im downloading your apps and projects now to see where they might fit in to this very important project.
Thanks for the work that you do!

thanks
Nick
Yes I read the articles, however what we are doing is similair but not using the same technology.
I do not wish to discuss the technology on an open forum. So if you would give me a ring tomorrow.
Thanks
Nick
The article you cited woks in the world of mesh networking. It is the beginnings of the FIRSTNET system. FIRSTNET utilizes the 700Mhz spectrum and the project that we are working on deal with the FIRSTNET applications.
Thanks
