Installation Help Required

Hi!

I love the Phone Tracker, it looks great!

I have downloaded the files (PHP) and added my DB Name, Host, Password etc, I have uploaded all files to my webserver, but now I am stuck, I have never used myPHPAdmin before and could really do with some help if possible!?

Hi Matt

I made a little video on using the tracker with PHPMyAdmin. Take a look at it and then let me know if you have specific problems. Good luck!

Hi Nick,

Thanks for getting back to me, I have found out what the problem is, my hosted package only uses mySQL 4.1, which is why i cant get it to work! I have requeted that they upgrade me to 5 but they have said that this is not possible!?!

So it looks like i will have to find another solution, although I do really like what you have done and it would be perfect for what i need :-(

Hi Nick,

I have managed to get myself on mySQL 5.0.45 but I am still getting the below error when i try to import the .sql file in the download - I am new to mySQL so sorry if im doing something dumb!!!

Error

SQL query:

/*!40000 ALTER TABLE `gpslocations2` ENABLE KEYS */;

--

- - DROP PROCEDURE IF EXISTS `prcDeleteRoute` ;

MySQL said:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '--DROP PROCEDURE IF EXISTS `prcDeleteRoute`' at line 1

Any ideas??

Hi Matt

Just try removing that line from the sql code. It's not needed if the stored procedure hasn't been created yet. Did you have a chance to watch that video?
