PHP on BB 8820 (Version 2 GPS Tracker)

Nick -

The link you sent me worked fine on the computer - did you actually want me to do it on the phone ?

THE HISTORY (From Sourceforge)

So i finally got the minutes to download the new version 2.0....

It doesnt seem to work right on the Blackberry. Minimizing the test part of the project I simply downloaded the jad file from websmithing with the intent to run the app while reporting to the websmithing site.

The page on the phone reported as follows:

Getting map once a minute...
Networker.getUrl responseCode:404
Map could not be downloaded

:(

to clarify the following:

Phone number or user name Nick
Upload website http://www.websmithing.com/GPSTracker/GetGoogleMap2.aspx

anyone got any ideas?
Has anyone else managed to get it running on a Blackberry 8820?

Let's try this next. Using your cell phone, browse to this page and download HttpTest:

http://www.websmithing.com/gpstracker/phone/

This will display 200 and the url above if things are working correctly.

It will also create a new route on the test GPS Tracker page:

http://www.websmithing.com/gpstracker/displaymap2.aspx

Re: PHP on BB 8820 (Version 2 GPS Tracker)

OK,

It displayed the 'word' 200 and the 'address' (not the content) of http://www.web................

When i checked on the PC - the aspx link then sure enough there was a user called httptest at 11.19 that did a route. However like a dummy i didnt check that before i did the phone test, so i can't be sure that my phone created that static entry to your site.

the 200 and the url is what should be displayed. If you aren't sure whether or not you created a route, you can always select that route and delete it with the delete button. Maybe if you could try once again. I've created a new httpTest midlet that will create a route called "HttpTest" instead of "theBrit". I have gone and deleted any that were there.  If  we don't get this sorted out  do you mind if I give you a phone call to go into this a little bit deeper? If it's ok with you I'll email you my phone number. I have unlimited long distance so I can call you right back.
